God almighty, Chris Morris is a genius! It's so great to see a man spoofing media hysteria over paedophiles, and then see the media hysteria over his show! And it was great to see the Daily Mail doing what it does best - missing points and finding scapegoats. They twisted the best sketches to make him look evil and managed to misunderstand everything he said. He must be so happy today! There was a great sketch where a proud dad at a beauty pageant was showing off his daughter's breast implants. It was just a moment of genius, showing how making five-year-olds look like hookers and getting them to flirt with the judges probably isn't in the best taste. But that point was missed. Another great bit saw a presenter introducing a paedophile, then slapping him in the face, showing how media objectivity disappears on this kind of subject. But that point was missed too. And then Chris Morris interviewed another paedophile while he was held in stocks, which right away pointed out how medieval our attitudes are towards these people who need help. This guy was defending "inter-generational sex" which made me think about how respectable the Klan is trying to be, hoping a few pretty words will make their beliefs less repugnant. But guess what? These points were missed too! The highlight of my day, though, came from ITN, showing recent footage of children being made to hold banners saying "Kill the Paedophiles" while their parents protested about the perverts living in their area, then cutting to an MP complaining about how disgusting the show was. That pretty much summed up the whole thing. What a guy!
